Join us for dinner in the JCAA Community Hall (150-C) at 5:45 – 6:30 pm. Dinner will be provided by the Moreno family in thanksgiving for the birth of their child. Join us as young and old alike help lead this warm and intimate service. Many of our B’nai Mitzvah students (past & present) lead prayers and chant Torah. J-Serve Service Day:
Sunday, April 26th, 9:00 am – 4:30 pm
J-Serve is a national day of service where Jewish teens from all over the US come together, no matter their affiliation, to make a difference in their own communities.

| WHERE: | Meet at the JCAA Community Hall for dynamic speakers, afternoon service projects around Austin (transportation provided), and a concert with Rick Recht! |
Register online at www.jserve.org/austin. More than 100 teens are expected to participate in J-Serve locally and last year over 10,000 teens participated nationwide.
Community Rick Recht Concert:
Sunday, April 26th, 3:30 pm
The top-touring musician in Jewish music will be featured in the closing ceremony of J-Serve. Recht is widely recognized for his appeal to youth and family audiences as an exceptional musician, singer/songwriter, and entertainer, and also as a role model for involvement in Jewish life. The concert is appropriate for Middle school and up, and for younger children with parents. $5 suggested donation to support LifeWorks.

Yom Hazikaron Community Commemoration
Please join us Monday April 27th, at 7:00 p.m. in the JCC Community Hall as we remember those that have fallen in Israel’s wars and those that have been victims of terror in Israel. Originally and essentially designated to commemorate the loss of those men and women who fought and were killed in the IDF, Israel’s Defense Forces, the day has now also been accepted as the appropriate time to bring together families and friends as an official recognition of all those who lost their lives under any form of attack, including acts of terror. Service will include readings, music and poetry.

“How to Stop Complaining and Enjoy Life” is a 5-week series offered by Rabbi Kerry Baker and Lynda Baker of Congregation Kol Halev along with Mitch Sudolsky, Director of Jewish Family Service. The series is based on Will Bowen’s book, A Complaint Free World, and will meet on the JCAA campus May 7, 14, 21, 26, and June 2, 7:30-8:30 p.m. Call JFS at 250-1043 to register, or for more information.
