The
Congregation
Kol Halev
Education Co-op is a family-based education program for children ages 6-10

community, Jewish identity, and a love for Jewish learning.

guidance of
Rabbi Baker

all levels, and Dr.

An important part of the Bar/Bat at Mitzvah process is for each student
and his or her family to develop a strong, positive sense of membership in
the Jewish Community. Rabbi Baker and Cantor Sherwin will assist parents in
managing the B’nai Mitzvah Chavurah, an informal group whose members
support each other during the Bar/Bat Mitzvah process.
Parents rotate volunteer assignments to coordinate the
Chavurah activities. Previous Chavurah activities have included visiting other
congregations, attending a film or performance with a Jewish theme, or
participating in a community event such as Israeli Independence Day, or a
Tzedekah activity such as Hands-on-Housing or the Crop Walk.
