Daniel Graves and his team raised nearly $1800 for the Alzheimer Association. He received special recognition at the end of the walk for fund raising, and the fact that this was his bar mitzvah project - followed by a hearty round of applause from the crowd. Other b'nai mitzvah team members included gifted fund raisers Corina Santos, Natalie Becker, and Ryan Ladd.

LOST: Were you at the Sukkot in the Sukkah celebration on Friday, October 6th? Did you take home an extra spoon? Amy O'Desky lost a serving spoon. Amy says, "It is an Oneida fancy serving spoon with 3 slits in the center. It's shiny and silver in color." If you found it, please contact Amy at aodesky@austin.rr.com.
FOUND: Black zippered sweater jacket left at the Sukkot potluck on Friday. If this sounds like your sweater, please come to the Kol Halev office to claim it. (Call ahead, 419-0945, to make sure someone is in the office.)

Kids with Cameras Austin
The JCAA Visual Arts Program is seeking several middle and/or High
School students to take part in a workshop during the next 3 months. The
workshops will explore differences, tolerance, and digital photography.
If you have or know of a 6th - 12th grader who may be interested in
participating, they are taking applications until October 18th (this
Wednesday). The first workshop is October 22nd. The program includes
three, two-hour workshops. The group will meet once a month for two
hours on a Sunday. The participants will get a camera to take photos for
the assignment and the photos will culminate in an exhibition created by
the students. The exhibition will travel around Austin . This program is
free to those participants accepted into the program. Please, contact
Crystal Connally at the JCAA at 735-8098 for more information on how to
submit an application.
