The January event for the B’nai Mitzvah Chavurah is delayed just a few days. In celebration of Tu B’shevat, we will gather at Lucy Read Park to plant trees in remembrance of Shoshana Weintraub. Treefolks will supply the trees, AISD will supply the mulch and we’ll supply the labor! Please bring a shovel to ensure we have enough. We will start off with a picnic lunch before we get to work. To keep things simple, each family should bring their own lunch and drinks. Be sure to wear comfortable clothes and sturdy shoes. Please respond to Michele Chandler at <mchandlerlmsw@sbcglobal.net> or to have a real conversation, call 394-0993. **If we get rained out, the event will be held the following week on February 11, 2007**

Tickets will be available at the door the evening of the performance. General admission - $11; Seniors, JCAA Members and Students - $9. For information: 453-5365 or <judyalp101@aol.com>.

Free Trip to Israel for Austin Area Jewish Young Adults!
Do YOU want to go or know someone who does? Birthright Israel believes every Jewish young person's birthright is to visit Israel . The JCAA plans to organize the first ever Austin-based Birthright Israel Summer Trip for Jewish Young Adults who have not had the opportunity to visit Israel on an organized peer trip during their high school or college years. The gift of the 10-day trip is funded by the people of Israel through the Government of Israel, North American Jewish Federations (including the JCAA) through the United Jewish Communities (UJC), and leading private philanthropists. If you or someone you know is interested or has any questions, please contact Dana Epstein, JCAA Young Adult Division Coordinator at <dana.epstein@shalomaustin.org> or call 512-735-8012. You can learn more about birthright Israel by visiting www.birthrightisrael.org.
