Congregation Kol Halev is celebrating their 10th anniversary this year and couldn’t think of a better way to share their celebration with the entire community than bringing Billy Jonas to Austin for a special concert on Sunday, February 11th at 3:00 pm.  The concert will be in the Community Hall at the Dell Jewish Community Campus.  Tickets will be available at-the-door (starting at 1:00 pm): children under five are free; children five - 13 are $6; and adults are $15.  To learn more about this event, see the feature article in the February issue of The Jewish Outlook or check out our web site. (Where you will find a poster suitable for printing and posting at your favorite hang-out!)

Sisterhood

We will be welcoming new members at our next get together …
... Sunday, February 18th, 10 am, at Kneaded Pleasures on 3573 Far West Blvd. (next to the Post Office, map).
Please stop by! This is an excellent chance to visit with other Sisterhood members, welcome new members or become a new member, and help plan the rest of the year! We are trying to provide a casual venue for the Kol Halev women to become better acquainted, build friendships, and work towards the goals of the Sisterhood. We understand that each person may have schedules and responsibilities that may not always allow you to participate at every Sisterhood meeting or event, but hope you can join us when you can! Contact Karen Gault <kgault@austin.rr.com> for more information.

Tickets will be available at the door the evening of the performance. General admission - $11; Seniors, JCAA Members and Students - $9. For information: 453-5365 or <judyalp101@aol.com>.

Free Trip to Israel for Austin Area Jewish Young Adults!
Do YOU want to go or know someone who does? Birthright Israel believes every Jewish young person's birthright is to visit Israel . The JCAA plans to organize the first ever Austin-based Birthright Israel Summer Trip for Jewish Young Adults who have not had the opportunity to visit Israel on an organized peer trip during their high school or college years. The gift of the 10-day trip is funded by the people of Israel through the Government of Israel, North American Jewish Federations (including the JCAA) through the United Jewish Communities (UJC), and leading private philanthropists. If you or someone you know is interested or has any questions, please contact Dana Epstein, JCAA Young Adult Division Coordinator at <dana.epstein@shalomaustin.org> or call 512-735-8012. You can learn more about birthright Israel by visiting www.birthrightisrael.org.
