NCJW LUNCH BUNCH / Learn about Breast Cancer
Legislative Priorities, Tuesday, October 23rd, 11:15 am, The Brick
Oven (Arboretum).
Who amongst us doesn't know someone affected by Breast Cancer? A
woman has a 1-in-8 lifetime chance of contracting this disease.
Twenty years ago, the lifetime risk was 1-in-16. In some areas today it
is less than 1-in-8. Why? Only good science will get us an answer
and a cure, not only for Breast Cancer but for all hormonally related
cancers. Come and learn about legislative priorities of the
National Breast Cancer Coalition and the fight to fund good
science. The National Breast Cancer Coalition is an umbrella
organization of many breast cancer organizations: Komen, Y-me, Breast
Cancer Action, Young Survivors Coalition, Alamo Breast Cancer
Foundation, and many more. The October Lunch Bunch will include a
discussion of this vital topic on Tuesday, October 23rd at 11:15 at The
Brick Oven near the Arboretum. This lunch is open to all who are
interested, so please rsvp to Judith
Gedalia at <gedalijudy@yahoo.com> or 713-208-6600.
