Kol Halev Gala

Mark your calendar for the Kol Halev Gala on Saturday, November 17th, 7:00 - 10:00 p.m.  Congregation Kol Halev will celebrate its 10th year anniversary and Rabbi Kerry Baker’s 30th anniversary of his ordination, with a special gala called Starry Night -- a celebration event for the families of Congregation Kol Halev and the Austin Jewish community.

Starry Night will be a fabulous gala with food, drink, entertainment, and a silent auction. That’s where you come in  ....

This Week at Kol Halev .... 

Torah Study, Tuesday, November 6th, Noon, CKH Office.

Family (Co-op) Shabbat, Friday, November 9th, 6:30 pm, ECP Multi-purpose Room.
Join our younger Co-op families for an early, family-oriented Shabbat Service.  After the service, we will share a dairy/pareve pot-luck dinner.

Chevrat Shlosha Devarim (CSD), Saturday, November 10th, 10:00 am, JCAA Community Hall.
Join us as young and old alike help lead this warm and intimate service.  Many of our B'nai Mitzvah students (past & present) lead prayers and chant Torah.  Please contact Reuven Robbins (453-5456 or <rrobbins@austin.rr.com>) if you would like a part in the service.  A kiddish luncheon follows the service.  If you would like to help sponsor the luncheons, send your tax-deductible contributions to the CKH office (with a note designating if for this purpose).

The Austin Jewish Coalition Against Domestic Violence invites you to attend:
"It Takes a Community: Fostering Healthy Relationships in Jewish Youth"
Wednesday, November 14th, 8:00 am – 10:30 am, JCAA Community Hall.
Barri Rosenbluth, School-Based Services Director at Safeplace, will discuss what adults can do to educate and support youth in having safe and healthy relationships.  Participants will learn strategies for preventing bullying, sexual harassment, and dating abuse and for engaging youth as role models and leaders in their school and community.  Kosher Continental Breakfast Provided.  Suggested Donation $10 per person.  For more information contact Michele Chandler at 250-1043 or at michele.chandler@shalomaustin.org.
