JCAA Seniors Hanukah Party
Once again, the JCAA Women's Division Social Action Committee will
co-sponsor the Hanukah celebration for Seniors. This year's
event will be at the JCAA on Friday, December 7th, from 11-1. If
you are interested in volunteering for the fun and festive tradition,
please contact Lisa Feder at lisa@lkfeder.com
for details on how to get involved by bringing food items or
volunteering your time as a server or table host.
NCJW's Chanukah Party To Benefit SafePlace
The Austin chapter of the National Council of Jewish Women is marking the holiday by collecting items for SafePlace, Austin's shelter and services agency for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Courtney Sanchez, a speaker for SafePlace, will be on hand to discuss "Bad vs. Abusive: When Do Relationships Cross the Line?"
The event, which is open to the community, is set for 7 pm Monday, December 3rd, at 5010 North Rim Drive, Austin. Latkes and desserts will be served.
Please bring: Diapers, sizes 4 and 5, and pull-ups, all sizes. Unopened packages of children's and women's underwear, all sizes. Body care products, such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, deodorant. Baby care products, such as oil, lotion, powder, wash, wipes. Feminine hygiene products. Bath towels, new or very gently used. All toiletries should be unopened, full-size products, please. No travel-size products.
