Annual Second Night Passover Seder, Sunday, April 20th, 5:30 pm, JCAA Community Hall.
We have plans for a wonderful Seder with delicious food (catered by Pascal’s)! Natalie Blum Becker will be called to the Torah as a Bat Mitzvah during our Shabbat morning service Saturday, May 10th at 10:00 am in the JCAA Community Hall.  The service will be followed by a celebration including a luncheon and ballroom style dancing.  If you will attend the luncheon, RSVP to Don Becker <dbecker@austincc.edu> by Wednesday, April 30.

CKH member Ian Crawford has been named KUT News editor. Previously, he was a reporter/anchor for Austin’s KLBJ radio, where he earned two Texas Associated Press Broadcasters awards.  Originally from Oregon, Ian began his radio career while still a sophomore in high school, working as a music host, sports announcer, news reporter, and anchor.
Ian is married to Sarah Reynolds and serves on CKH's Board of Directors. Mazel Tov Ian!

"Max" Millar was born on Wednesday, April 2nd to Rachel & Kris Millar.

Pre-College Israel Experience Scholarship Application, Deadline: May 1, 2008.

This year the JCAA has raised funds to assist local Jewish teenagers in financial need to participate in an Israel summer program.  These dollars came through the Israel @ 60 fund raising effort and the 6th Annual Sunday Night for Steve basketball tournament.  If you are interested in a scholarship to help cover the cost of the program, download the application at the http://shalomaustin.org/ "Israel" tab.  If you have any questions, contact Dana Epstein at 512-795-9937 ext. 17.

Volunteers Needed for Israel@ 60 Celebration

Austin’s Israel@60 celebration is right around the corner and we need only two hours of your time between Saturday, May 10th and Tuesday, May 13th.  Volunteers are needed to:  (1) help in the Israeli Shuk where all of Austin is invited to purchase Israeli made products (Saturday through Tuesday); and (2) assist at Israel@60 stations (Sunday only).  Volunteer Coordinator:  Kelly Finkel <kfinkel@gmail.com> or 576-7279.
